Paradigm Lost

Many US conservatives think of the gap between ourselves and liberals as being defined by an ongoing series of policy decisions. Simple forks in the road, with pro's and con's and why can't we all get along and simply do the right thing for the citizens. This is not "wrong" per se, but it often puts conservatism at a disadvantage when we tussle with liberals who view the gap as being more about how they approach how to live.

Bringing a short term approach to a long term struggle is like bringing a knife to a gun fight.

In my opinion, it is vital that conservatives remind each other that our mission is to carry a vision or a brand, not to win a few debates.

What say you?
